I Wish I Were There Poem by Neela Nath Das

I Wish I Were There

Rating: 5.0

Even the dropping of a leave
can be heard,
so silent is the place!
A magical rivulet
flows in zig zag course,
the mountain with
greens stands like a monk
in the morning.....
The birds chirp
uninterruptedly
and play with their
youngsters- - - - -
I wish I were there!
My confined thought
I want to float
in that small river's
crystal water....
Much I have cried
for that!
And I'll pluck
a rose from the
wild rose plant,
to remove its petals
one by one to see,
if you love me
or don't love
at all....

Wow...Wonderful scenery you have portrayed. Rose Petal one is too interesting. As we also used to play a lot in our teens..... if you Love me, if you Love me not...The last petal says it all. Beautiful poem. I loved the village scene with beautiful rivulet flowing. A pleasant morning...Really I loved the picture.
