I Won'T Be Here... Poem by Nestor David Armas

I Won'T Be Here...

I could've, would've, given you everything,

You could've, should've, taken the ring,

Yet you thought this was not enough,

You wanted your freedom, no handcuff,

To roam free through the earth rampant,

You didn't want to hear no you can't,

That hunk next door caught your eye,

I thought you said I looked good in a tie,

But it's your loss, you'll see what I mean,

I could've made it heaven, made your life a dream,

You didn't know what I was capable of,

How I could move mountains for your love,

You stereotyped me for being a guy,

But I'm no ordinary man, and it's not a lie,

And I'm not one to tell you, that you'll be back,

Because I won't be here, I've got to go pack...
