As I sit here and watch the cold hard rain beat down
Upon the roads of night black tar
I begin thinking, and remembering of the past
Of you, and how you are doing
I think of how your life is going
And of how we ended up
As the cold hard rain beats down
I wonder what could have been...
What should have been
I begin to recall those hot summer days I spent with you
Of the day we first met and I caught a glimpse of you
From the moment we met
From the moment we kissed
I've dreamt about you every night
My mind recalls your beauty and your love
My soul is engulfed by the love you gave me
Of the joy you gave me
If i could just hold you one more time
Or just to simply hear you speak or see you smile
I wonder if it'll take this pain in my heart away
As the cold hard rain beats down on me
I wonder why I'm so haunted by these memories
....I wonder...Do you also think of me?
