i wonder if the things
i'm seeing in my dreams
will ever surface.

i wonder if i'm dead,
or if i'm being fed
a greater purpose.

i wonder if you feel
a thirst for something real
that sends you reeling,

cause i've been there before,
i'm crawling 'cross that floor,
i know the feeling.

i wonder if you ache
when you've seen whats a stake
with every warning.

i wonder if you sleep,
or if you just sink deep
in thought til morning.

i wonder what you see
when you're looking at me.
and when i'm absent,

i wonder if you sigh
and search the darkened sky
for where your heart went.
