I Wonder Why Poem by Lento Maez

I Wonder Why

Rating: 5.0

A cooing dove sang to us
As we sat beneath our tree
I wonder if the dove could see
That the limbs of the tree
Reflected you and me
A sudden breeze
Stirred the leaves
It brought us to our knees
As we held hands
We heard two bands
They played our song
All night long
Our love
The dove
Our song

Cute :) . Btw I have recently learned that 'dove' is also the past tense of dive, was so surprised to find out. Anyways, bookmarked :)

Oh! So wonderful, Lento! You sure play magic with words. 'I wonder if the dove could see That the limbs of the tree Reflected you and me' - What a wonderful thought to muse on! 'They played our song All night long Our love The dove Our song ' - Simply fabulous! 'Keep on keeping on', my friend!
