I Would Poem by Brendon Langeveldt

I Would

I would,
Hold you tight and never ever let you go,
If you ever tried to leave then my answer would be no!

I would,
Call you ten times a day just to hear you say,
You love me and that you can't live without me.
You'd never doubt me and all you love is about me.
Without a doubt, you're a better you when I am around.

I would,
Always make you hold your breath when I'm mad,
Give you flowers coz I know I made you sad.

I would,
Play a little rough and smack you around,
You'd even take punches as I go pound for pound.
With every black eye comes a bunch of red roses,
Some chocolates, a card and I'm sorry,
You know this.

I would,
Sit beside you at the hospital,
Talking to you while you're in a coma...

I would,
arrange a your flowers myself
Hand pick the ones you liked best.
I know your taste coz I bought them every month or so.
Compose a nice little eulogy,
Talkin bout the times when there was only you n me,
But now its only me.
You're on your way to God, see all your prayers helped.

I would,
Wish to have you back and put some flowers on your grave,
Realise your strength and know that you were brave
To spend your life with me although I didn't know your worth
So I just treated you like you were nothing more to me than dirt.
