I Write In Lead Poem by Samantha Campbell

I Write In Lead

So I can Get It Just Right
As Emotions and Thoughts of love

Can Remain despite
The Rubber Disappearances on My Canvas
For Every Written Inch of Diction Can Remain Infinite

For No Matter How Much I Erase
It has traces of Existence

Yet I Only Use The Ink
when I am on The Brink of Mastery
Until
[Love]
Becomes Involved with Me

I Refuse to White it out
Covering Up
What Simple Muted Phonetics

Should
be
F R E E
/
/
/
I Write In Lead
/
/
/
So I can Never Run Out of Possibilities
of Expressions in order to Seal Such
Amplified A Connection

So the Waves within Can Make Sense of Strayed Marks

For What I Feel

Has No Definite Color
Neither Blue, Nor Red, Nor Black, Nor Green

For it means so much more To me
/
/
/
I Write In Lead
/
/
/
For [Love]
Lies Between A Grayish Black Gradient
To me

Neither White Nor Black
But A Large GRAY Area
/
/
/
I write in Lead
/
/
/
So My Words Have More Weight
More Depth
More...
M E A N I N G

As I become Transfixed in Dictated Perfection

Copious Crafted Connotations
Creating Complex Simplicities of Communication
/
/
/
I Write In Lead
/
/
/
So Probability Seems More Favorable Towards Me
While Scribing Endlessly
Tumultuously

Repetitively To Re-Sharpen All Minimalistic Importance's

As It Keeps Eating Away At the Wooden Peg
Placed Strategically At My Heart

Plumbum Re-Cyclically Wasted Upon Pages

The Softest Metal Lying
Within My Chest
82 Ways To say I love [You] Best
/
/
/
I write In Lead
/
/
/
For Love Can See The Shine Despite its Lack Luster Appearance
While Knowing This Material In which I scribe With Shall Last Longer
Than Earth itself

And Such Amorous Hysteria Reaches The Distances of Saturn's Rings
Despite It's Harmful Tendencies That is Which Leaded Love Suffers Of
When Inflicted with Devout Quantities
/
/
/
I Write In Lead
/
/
/
For Ink Is Too Liquid-y For Such Solid Substances in Which I Emote
Infinite Unity

Crayon Is To Unclear And its Wax May Represent Mendacity

And On A Keyboard What Remains Saved Can Be Fabricated Vivacity

So I
/
/
/
Write
in
Lead
/
/
/
So [Love] Can Believe
that Everything I Write
Is What Nature Has Provided
Like Lead in Ore
Love Lies Within Me in all its Rarity

And so [Love] Knows
My Words To you
Have No Corrosion
/
/
/
I Write In Lead
/
/
/
So I can Scribe Meaning Into Perfected Lyrical Emotions
For Love withholds Every Inclination
That Transfers for My Softened Metallic Heart
to the Right Handed Slant On My Page
/
/
/
I WRITE IN LEAD
/
/
/
For [You]
