Ideas And Facts Poem by gershon hepner

Ideas And Facts

The people who prefer the facts
to mere ideas seem dumb
to those who think of facts as tax
on those ideas that hum
around their brains, without support
of any shred of evidence.
I think idea-men really ought
to focus on the facts for sense,
because ideas without them spin
around the head like rings of Saturn;
ideas excite, but should not win
unless based on a factual pattern.

Another brilliant write; as an IT techy, I can truly appreciate the distinction between facts and ideas - for people like me have to derive computer solutions based on facts in order to implement business ideas.
