If Poem by Annie Jane

If

If I could sleep, I'd lock myself away tonight and keep the key inside of me.

If I could sleep, I'd welcome the rest, and the calm, the release.

If I could sleep, I'd lie my way through hundreds of dreams and believe the deceit.

If I could sleep, the infinite black could block out today and blur what I feel.

If I could sleep.

If.
