If And Then Poem by Frederick McGettrick

If And Then

If you are hungy, have a piece of pie
if you want a sandwhich, have some rye
if you are thirsty, have a sip
or if you're not, take a dip
if you are wet, use my towel
if you are planting, take my trowel
if you are reading, use your glasses
if it is bitter, add molassess
if you are tired, hop into bed
if you are thinking, use your head
if you are sitting, use a chair
if you are hiding, build a lair
If you are moving, why not fly?
if you're raising pigs, find a sty
if you're not hungy now, use a lid
if you want it, place a bid
if you are cold, wear a coat
if you can't walk, use a boat
if you are poor, get a job
if you are angry, build a mob
if you hate your neighbor, build a wall
if you are bored, buy a ball

you want it, get it
if you can't, forget it.
