If Beauty Had A Name

If beauty had a name
Her name would be yours,
And if love was an ocean
I’d sleep on her shores.

I’d cross the cold mountains
And the snow-covered plains,
To feel your warm love
As it pumps through my veins.

Your love melts the waters
Of my long-frozen streams,
And the rest, my dear Mia,
Is illusions and dreams…

We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
