If Ever Poem by Carmela Cerdan

If Ever

Rating: 5.0

If ever you remember me
And cross your mind once more
My face
My smell
My personality
Don't look for me
Even in your dusty
Memory

As the flames dance with glee
As I touch the wrinkled log of the tree
Somewhere I am just
Wandering not lost

All the things that's done is done
The opulent moments of happiness, now gone
Flew with the frosty breeze
Nowhere to be seen

If ever you remember me
Please don't look for me
For I guess I
Forgot you already
And what we used to be
