If I Could Poem by Jennie Nguyen

If I Could

If I could sit here with God
On a beach watching the sun rise
I would ask Him about the battle He fought
With the devils for me that night

If I could ride in a car with God
Cruising around under the summer breeze
I would thank Him for His forgiveness on my thoughts
All of the negative ones that He disagreed

If I could lie here with God
On a hill top watching the shooting stars
I would just look at Him smile and not a thought
Because He is right next to me and not far

If I could fly away with God
Over mountain tops under the blue skies
I would tell Him about the things that He had taught
Be good to my parents and never tell a lie

If I could go to Heaven with God
Looking down on the Earth with Him
I would ask Him Why die for me on the cross?
'LOVE, that is all my dear'
