If I Could Go Back In Time

Rating: 5.0

If I could go back in time, what should I do?
Should I change the relationship between me and you?
Is it worth the effort to change the way things are?
Have the stars aligned, has it gone too far?

Should we make the world over to our own liking?
If the anvil is hot, is it worth the striking?
Should we go our own way?
Or should we stop and play?

The answers my dear, are for you to decide.
You can lead the way, or just go for a ride.
There are some wrong answers in this awesome life.
It's the choices we make, that determine the strife.

What if you could go back in time?
Would you change the world or just stop a crime?
If I gave you three wishes, what would you choose?
Would you wish for happiness, or health; what could you lose?

If I could go back in time, I just might let things be?
Actions have consequences, for both you and me.
I've made many good choices in my life so far.
Nobody's perfect, and I don't want to be a star.

Is it right to let the Lord make the choices?
Is She better at it, and hears all our voices?
If I could go back in time with you,
I'd love to start over, and live life anew.

But here we are, and one chance is all we get.
The future is ours for the taking, and not yet set.
There are no three wishes, and no free passes.
It's time to get up, and off our asses.
