If I Do Not Make It Home

If I do not make it home, tell my mother I lived well, that I was gallant where others were cowards, that I survived where my comrades fell. Tell my mother I saw the world, packed into the imported containers from the Atlantic, from Countries whose name beat pronunciation, I am gone, but solutions I seek. Tell my mother I trained hard, and I got envisioned on the isle of snakes, where I saw my buyer nation helpless from foreigners, from Post colonial slavery, corruption she makes. If I do not make it home, tell my mother I chose to be her salvation.
