If I Should Die Poem by Jenna Dandurand

If I Should Die

If I should die
before I wake,
I just wanted
to tell you
all of those
things that you
missed.
Those pictures
you found wedged
between my planner...
they showed my
very soul.
Those documents
you found on my laptop
were my imagination
turned into stories.
And that one last
name hidden
in my journal-
don't look for
that person.
Ever.
Because that
person was my
other half, my
one true love.
And if you find
that person,
don't tell him
anything
becasue that
is my last wish,
if I should die
before I wake.
