If I Write Is It Wrong? Poem by Biff McGuire

If I write is it wrong? some may think it so,
or is it just clearing my mind?
Just because one might like it and others may not,
am I really committing a crime?

If the words seem to flow for a moment or two,
should I just toss them out to the wind?
Or at least try to capture the meaning within,
and release all the pressure again.

They may not be right, but the words I record;
The pen and the paper, my tools.
Sometimes I feel, I am smart and ingenious,
sometimes I feel like a fool.

The lines may mean nothing, or maybe a lot,
each one is unique in it’s' way.
Are they symbols of passion? And words to live by,
or an idiots thought for the day.

If the words are for you, or the words are for me
it's not relative how they sound.
I just slap them on paper and share them again,
to revive the night's peace that I've found.
