If it were a perfect world, there wouldn't be
homelessness, hunger or hopelessness
If it were a perfect world, there wouldn't be
tears, trouble or tantrums
If it were a perfect world, there wouldn't be
power, pain or poverty
If it were a perfect world, there wouldn't be
wars, weight or worry
If it were a perfect world, there wouldn't be
grades, guns or garbage
But we don't live in a perfect world- not even close.
And even if our world was idealistic,
we still wouldn't be happy
There is always something else that we want, we need
Take nothing for granted, be happy to be alive,
and every morning, when you wake up
you might just find your world is a little more perfect.
Take nothing for grated, be happy to be alive... a perfect optimism! Great poem, a 10 from me. Thank you for sharing.
