If Love Is Free Poem by John Gabriel

If Love Is Free

Rating: 5.0

If love is truly free
well that's all right with me
I need a woman who's real fine
but I'm down to my last dime

A lady recently said to me love ain't free
well that sounds too confusing to me
I thought to myself love can't be blind
when it clearly can see a dollar sign

I wanted to give my two cents worth
we need more love on this earth
but could only spare a penny for my thought
love should be earned and never bought

Maybe tomorrow I'll grow a money tree
and then go on a spending spree
I'll buy all the love in the world
then give all the love away for free

But for now I'm still here without any love
and I'm looking up to the man above
If the best things in life are free
how about finding a woman for me

Great reality poem. I often say love can't buy love but it's a good down payment on. Credit is good as well.
