If Love Was Lost Poem by Phillip Ahrens

If Love Was Lost

Rating: 5.0

If I was the sky then you would be the stars in my eyes;

If I was the sea then you would be the summer breeze;

We would watch the sun as it fall down in to the deep blue sea.

If I was the earth then you would be the sunlight shining down on me;

And without you I would be surrounded by darkness;

And love would be blinded by darkness love would be lost in darkness;

And we would be lost without love;

Life would be meaningless.

If you were the stars then you would light up the stars in space;

Without you space would dark;

Without the stars to give light to space then love would not be able to see it way to me and you;

Because it would be lost and blinded by only darkness in the sky;

The sea lives to shelter and protect god’s creations;

That live in it without the sea the fish would not be;

The fish would not be;

Without the fish, the sea would be empty.

Just as space would be empty without the stars.

My heart would be empty without you in my arms.
