You could smile at the wind caressing
Than worry about hurricanes coming

If only,
Roses bloomed for lovers
Without spiteful prickles

If only,
A smile meant just delight
Not a mask for tears to fight

If only,
A kiss meant just trust
Not sodden with bloody lust

If only,
'I love you' had no complications
And a million obligations

If only,
I could still be a child.
So gentle. So mild.
