If Roses Can Be Poem by jennifer hall

If Roses Can Be

Rating: 5.0

If roses can be
yellow
pink
red
white
And still be roses

If hair can be
red
blonde
brunette
black
And still be hair

If eyes can be
green
blue
brown
hazel
And still be eyes

Then why can't humans be
black
white
hispanic
asian
And still be accepted?

Why can't people be
special
different
unique
original
And still be people?

If roses can be
yellow
pink
red
white
And still be roses.....

Please remove this immediately. This is a poem I wrote when I was eleven and published in the anthology 'Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal: Challenges'. I am disgusted and offended by your blatant plagarization and have reported this to PoemHunter. Lyssa

This one is excellent. It will survive. Roses can still be roses. I am giving it my highest honor, adding it to my favorites.

The uncompromising reason of nature, and the compromising barriers of man. Such a shame that everyone doesn't share your philosophy :) Best wishes. jack.
