If Tomorrow Never Comes... Poem by Joann Carrano Passmore

If Tomorrow Never Comes...

Rating: 0.5

If tomorrow never comes will there be someone who will cry for me.
Or put me to rest for all eternity and finally set me free.
Will they remember the love and warmth I gave from my heart?
Or talk about me and pull my memories and life completely apart.

Will they think of the special times we shared?
And will they remember how much I really cared.
Will they remember the love that I gave?
Or remember the lives that I was helping to save.

Will they remember the person that I only allowed a few to see.
I really was afraid for them to know the real me.
I was afraid that I would really get hurt and feel even more alone.
For everyone usually likes to throw a stone.

Or remember the special times we use to share.
Just letting some know that I was there.
I came to realize that nothing is really right.
Sooner or later we all have to face the light.

No one really could see what was in my heart.
Except for God, he put it there from the start.
As I enter my new life in heaven above.
I feel the angels and God's heavenly love.

So my darlings do not cry for me.
For finally now I am set free.
Free to give and love from my heart.
The way God had planned it from the start.
