If, Unless... Poem by Patricia Gale

If, Unless...

Rating: 5.0

Unless you have a mind of your own
How could you ever have known

If you have not walked in another’s shoes
Sit down, be kind, and listen to their views

Unless you have lost
Then you know the cost

If you have climbed the mountain
Then you know the pain

Unless you have tasted the sweet nectar of love
Then you know the bitter essence thereof

If you understand one
Then two is better than none

Suffering makes you more sensitive to the pain of others. I liked this poem a lot.

A strong lesson succinctly stated - the pro & con argument works in a fine balance. Rgds, Ivan
