If Were Woman Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

If Were Woman

If were woman

If god were woman
We could have been
More human than animals
On arrival

As he might have known
About labor pain
Its consequences
And danger chances

If he was to rear
Child with fear
He might have known the safe guards
Without meaningful words

But God knows more that
He has felt
That the women are best suited for role
So calm, tolerant and honorable
With kind approach and love to all people

But God wants people to know
About the importance of being woman and go
With the lenient views
For such role with kindness

If Were Woman
