a fantastic poem..i like the style too...the theme is on such a point which every one experiences or want to have the experiances....i like the poem too much..i have written 'whom do i belong to? ' readers may consider to read it.
Beautiful..Really.......
Subtle, and masterful. Only Pablo Neruda could weave such a tapestry of longing and desire with his endearing words.
the imagery is so descriptive as well as cryptive..lol.
the poem, the poet makes you sail one of those boats that lead to his sensitively woven tale of simple love.
loved it [3
This poem is AWESOME! It brings so many emotions out of me :)
This is truly a beautiful poem...it brings back so many emotions :)
love this poem... :)
I liked this poem, it brought back some of the moments in my own past life when I was much younger, when life is full of hope and you think you have the world at your feet.....but love is not like that, it alludes you when you need it most and tears will not bring it back, but you DO rise again
Pablo Neruda is an extraordinary poet. I love many of his poems and his body of work, as a whole. He writes of deep love and sensuality without being trite. He is skillful at turning a phrase and employs imagery inventively and subtly. I first came across his poems while watching a movie called 'The Postman.' It inspired me to buy the soundtrack and then entire collections of Neruda.
Often sad, true, but his poetry transcends the sadness by soaring. It lifts us to a higher place. The beauty transcends the sadness.
I stumbled across this poem one day when I was thinking of my recent ex, it just made me realize that if she truly loves me then hopefully one day she'll realize it and hopefully my heart is still hers then. Hah I dunno if that made sense. Thanks for the poem though!
