What a romantic man. You really can't judge a book by it's cover! my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms without leaving mine. - touching!

Pablo Neruda wasn't a physically attractive man yet his poetry
displays the inner most sensuality and raw realness that I love
    in poetry

    Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

    If suddenly
    you forget me
    do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

    Very nice explanation....

I read this and just could not help seeing two souls struggling the way we always do to keep the feeling going. The two spirits that tries to tango and then go into the push and pull of this feeling are just me and you so lost in this thing called life that I just have to give it a 9. (Report) Reply

This poem teaches the law of reciprocal and symbiotic relationship. It tells us that the quantity and quality of love you put in a relationship is what you will get. I must confess this is one of the best love piece I have ever read. (Report) Reply

    lovely

if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.
if you feel that you are destined for me...in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms

Love always leaves us with such awe and wonder that it is sometimes hard to put them down in writing but here pablo makes a masterpiece of his feeling, that's a nice one (Report) Reply

These are my favorite parts of the poem. It's either one thing or the other, no in between. I love the settled tone of this poem.10/10
