Ignorance Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Ignorance

Ignorance seems to be the breeding ground
Of Poverty and Social Unrest.
It is the barren soil in which can't be found
Patriotism that can stand the test.

No rule nor order thrives in Ignorance,
It sprouts up tendrils and just grows mold.
Its people can never stand a chance
With no real values that they can hold.

So blinded and numb then are the people
Who are caught in the claws of Ignorance.
Deceived with lies that they are not able
To manage their lives with good governance!

No roots, no vision, no hope, nothing!
Ignorance sways them to and fro!
Their lands abandoned and they go on running
From what and where to, they do not know!
