Illusion Poem by s yadu krishnan

Illusion

Rating: 5.0

Born into this world
of love and care,
and joy and laughter,
as i thought!

But like every other customer 'today',
i got exploited too!
By god who labeled Earth
as another beautiful heaven!

Little did i know,
that the exile had commenced,
right when my clock started to tick!
'convicted for no reason! ', I cry like a burning wick!

God was wrong!
The Earth is a prison.
Life's a mere sentence!
and love is nothing but solace.

The joy once lived had turned to spite,
laughter is restricted!
Except when you win a fight,
with a loved one, once you trusted!

The inevitable change has struck as all! ,
Far and wide...
& made us fall!
Yet i don't understand,
the drama of harmony;
Binding us together........

I tried to break my tether away.
But ended up adding more!
Not once, not twice did i try, all but in vain!
I continued my efforts until now, tired yet fain!

Remorse fills me as I wail....
Dear words! speak heart for me!
'don't let the solace die.......'
Cuz once it does~
Oh God! ...the label won't help it too!
