Images Poem by Sakib Choudhury

Images

As i sit here with my arms strapped around my chest
With nothing but four walls enclosing on me
My mind slowly blurring reality and fantasy
Yet one image stays prominent in my head
Manifesting itself at every ample opportunity

Alas there is nothing i can do to rid myself of it
For even damaging my own eyes could not
Rid me of the pictures replayed in my head
I fear that i am mortally wounded by my mind

Not many people know what it’s like to be mocked
By the creative side of their neural system
Alas i have been driven to wait for one thing
And when it is time i shall welcome it
With an embrace of sincere gratitude
