! ! ! Images In The Looking Glass

Rating: 2.7

Through the lenses I saw
A white clad mountain
And a lonely yak.

The lenses showed me
A grazing cow
And a bird on its horn.

The lenses let me see
A string free kite
Floating in the wind.

Without the lenses I see
The lotus pond
And the boy fishing.

Nicely captures the important difference between merely looking, and really seeing the world around us.

There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.......great poem Raveendran

Through the lens of poetry one can see worlds of clarity and beauty hidden from mere mortal eyes. Write on, Raveendran. Warm regards, Sandra
