Imagine Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Imagine

I love the way your eye crinkles
I love the folds, every wrinkle
In them I see a promising twinkle

I imagine the loud guffaw
That makes this pain so raw
I imagine things I never saw

I imagine all the things we'd do
If I could share the day with you
Maybe then in a day or two

I would touch first your bushy hair
Lift it up and your forehead bare
This would make the moment rare

I would then plant a kiss
Standing on my toe tips
And then move down to your smiling lips

Your hands would clasp me
In a long embrace
I would just keep looking at that kind face

I would place my head on your shoulder
Hoping to remain there when even older
Why, with each line I get bolder

I would then take in every breath
As if it were the antidote to death
Hoping that the sun would never set

This would happen if we met
I would then feel you from within
It would indeed be the original sin
