Imagine Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Imagine

Since Truth of Jesus set me free
When love was manifest
My blinded eyes began to see
My very soul is blessed

How marvellous it is to fly
Upon the wings of life
To really know we’ll never die
Once saved as Jesus’ wife

In spirit and truth divine
As promised from above
I’ve Heaven’s Bread, eternal Wine
And God’s unfailing love

Imagine life with Heaven’s breath
Attempt to comprehend
The miracle of fleeing death
When time is at an end

Imagine too this awesome sight
When all else sees decay
This child of God’s eternal light
Perfect in every way

Far above the maddening crowds
Beyond this realm of shame
Rising with Jesus in the clouds
Adorned in robes of flame

Can this be true can this be real?
Your mind’s in such a spin
Regardless of the way you feel
Let Jesus come within

By faith He’ll melt your heart of stone
By faith you too may rise
By faith He’ll take us as His own
As kings in Paradise
