Immaterial (2006) Poem by David Joel Rodriguez

Immaterial (2006)

Rating: 3.5

Your delicious fabrications gave me the strength
to devour your tempting cynical thoughts...
You ran leaving sweet sugar trails.
Delightfully I followed, licking, savoring your steps.
Surely in an instant, I began to hover...
hovered to your wretched, but sweet dispositions.
Don't hate me for absorbing how you are,
Don't hate me for swallowing you whole...
Your every dropp was a divine tasty scent!
Giving me the knowledge to observe and learn
what other future relationships will send.
