Impetus Poem by Daegal

Impetus

I wonder what she dreams about,
Could it be the distance, or the warmth of an embrace?
Could it be my arms which hold her tight?
I wonder what she dreams about.

I will always watch over you.
I will keep you safe in times of fear.
I will photograph your smile for times of sadness.
I will always watch over you.

I wonder what she dreams about,
Could it be the oceans I hear within her breath?
Could it be my heart beat which lulls her so to sleep?
I wonder what she dreams about.

I will always watch over you.
I will take hold of your suffering in times of strain.
I will stand by your side in times of struggle.
I will always watch over you.

Her dreams inspire me to be the best that I can be.

End.
