Imprisoned Poem by Fae Sebastian

Imprisoned

All around me
There are stone walls
Iron bars and chains
I hear screams
The shouts of angry drunks
Denials of crimes almost surely committed
And all the while
Those who walk outside my cage
Make me feel worthless
Like scum on society’s shoe
So I turn away
I close my eyes
And I wait…
Dreaming of the time when I will be free.
