Imprisonment Poem by Katie Grainger

Imprisonment

Rating: 4.5

After a day of rebelling,
you swarm there like bees,
to surround yourself with people,
who judge with ease,

writing on cracked walls,
waiting for the familiar tone,
of a so called 'friend',
to come around.

Trapped in this cage,
of loneliness and doubt,
will anyone hear,
If you scream, if you shout?

Wasting your time away,
now a common trend,
social networking,
Is this the end?

This poem made me think back to high school and how much I felt what you just described.... Great poem, I liked it
