Imprisonment Poem by Curtis Brown

Imprisonment

As I go through life wondering why
There's so much pain in my heart
So much suffering in my life
So much hate in my soul
Feel trap in a body that don't feel like mine
Can't be honest with nobody
Because who would understand
My suffering
Who would understand
My pain
Who would understand
My heartache
My worthlessness
Keeping a smile on my face
So them tough questions don't get ask
Consumed by darkness I am
Lost in my mind I am
Understand happiness I don't
This is nothing but an empty shell
My own personal hell.
