In A Little While (2) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In A Little While (2)

Within a while we all will see
God’s verdict to the test
Life’s crown to whom The Lamb set free
And hell for all the rest

Within a while when God repays
To each His just reward
The bride will reign eternal days
The rest will feel the sword

Within a while when all is done
We’ll see who’s right and wrong
We’ll see who’ve died without God’s Son
Who’ve sung the devil’s song

We’ll see the sheep with second birth
Who’ve sought the truth on high
Who died to self whilst here on earth
Who had no fear to die

Its hard the knee of lust to bow
Afflictions may increase
Yet though it’s not all roses now
Within a while there’s peace

God’s promise to each child reborn
The few life’s test have passed
Christ’s faithful bride will see life’s dawn
So says The First & Last

No child of Light will see the grave
No sheep from Jesus’ fold
Our Shepherd rose from death to save
And bring us joy untold

A share with Christ, once death has lost
Once sickness finds it’s end
And when the bridge we’ve finally crossed
We’ll meet our Lord and friend…
