In A Rose Garden Poem by Sumit Ganguly

In A Rose Garden

Rating: 5.0

Pink and red roses of rainbow land
spray bright colours, and
scent of their nascent heart
to make our senses free of dirt.
O nymph of love, you show
beauty is not eternal, only a glow.

Dear Sumit, I translated a poem by that greatest of French poets, Pierre de Ronsard and submitted it under the title Mignonne Your beautiful poem so reminds me of it with the brief beauty of Roses. We have miniature roses in our garden and they bloom much longer than the larger more fragrant roses. The great bush has had flowers on at Christmas. our winters in the North west corner of England are very mild so we tend to get a long flowering season. Loved your poem. Best i've read today. Tom
