In A Split Second
She drops onto her bed
Pondering the wisdom of
abortion
In a split second
She swallows a lump of pill that she palmed
Her stomarch burns
Blood oozes from genitals
She sees nothing but darkness
The pain becomes
unbearable
She groans
Crying out loud for help
Her mom runs into the room
Dials an emergency number
Help arrives
But its too late
She is already dead
Takes an innocent life
