In An Unsent Letter To Ann Poem by Abel Bolaños

In An Unsent Letter To Ann

Rating: 4.0

The Swans came out today.
My bread pulled them near.
They're not so majestic up close.

Orion watches me kill myself for you,
Because you make me,
Because I don't know what else to do.
I've never felt so close to someone,
Ive never felt my heart so far away.
Smoking doesn't feel good anymore,
And I can't stand liquor, still
My trembling eyes hide behind my glasses,
Still I stay.

The Swans came out today.
It hurts to say 'I love you, '
Because I know, because it's begun,
The girl I loved back home
Won't be the woman to whom I'll return.
