In Bed Poem by Nathanael Verrill

In Bed

Rating: 3.5

Sometimes, in bed I lie
against you
Pressed up against you; skin to skin
Making heat, not love
Feeling pain
but not sure if it's your pain or my own
But feeling through your steady undulating heart beat, the sorrow.
Then you twitch with unknown dreams
And I lie quietly, silently, feeling the emotion for the both of us.
In silence. Against you,
Making heat, not love.
Feeling hurt, for the both of us.
