In Color Poem by alex haywood

In Color

Life talks in color to me.
In phrases abundant
with hues and tones alive,
vibrant with creation's energy
resonating in emerald forests
beige deserts and ruby red flowers
through undulating fields of gold
and the cobalt blue of the Mediterranean
my soul looks and listens
to the color of life
unleashed for me alone.

Your body talks to me in color too.
The color of your nipple
that wants a caress
of eyes that want a kiss
on their red lips
your hair blonde-brown shining
begging to tangle itself
in my fingers
or spread out on
the white pillow
pink cheeks flushed
with smoldering violet passion
reflected in every square inch
of creamy skin
waiting to meet mine
so we can begin coloring
our book of life
together
