In Concrete Poem by Damian Fisher

In Concrete

Rating: 5.0

A picture frame of frozen pain,
Set in stone to entertain
Eyes reflect the hurt I've kept that's anchored in my brain

Take a seat, there's room for two
I'll tell you what I have been through.
No words to give, just look within, to find the truth you seek.

I'd cry with you, but I'm asleep,
All my dreams, held in concrete
Conversation is not my game
Please stay with me and heal my pain

Close your eyes and ease your mind, it will help to understand
For years and years and more to come, My crumbling heart has become one with the land.

With this poem, it looks like you have great promise as a poet. Well expressed and with none of those pitfalls that dog many of the young writers on this site. Adeline
