In Her Arms

  I see her standing there,
the sun gleaming
through her bright hair.

I come up behind her
and slide my arms
around her waist.

I place my head
on her shoulder,
her hair blowing
into my face.

I give her a slight hug.
She turns her head
to see who it is
behind her.

Her ocean blue eyes
meet with mine
and she smiles.

She slowly turns around
in my arms
and faces me.

She wraps
her arms
around my neck.

“Hi.”

“Hi.”

She pulls me
in closer
and hugs.

There we stand,
in each others arms,
with time
standing still.
