In Her Eyes Poem by Katherine H. Belle

In Her Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Her laughing eyes shone bright
Tears falling to the ground
The world saw her smile
Her soul saw her pain

She carried herself with dignity
Though in her heart she fell
Her radiance shone through the night
She had cried a thousand times before

Her essence drained of goodness
In the darkest corner of her mind she sat
Singing songs of lulubys
Comforting herself through life

Darkness waited round every corner
She babies herself with hope and lies
A life worth living lies beyond,
Beyond her clouded eyes

This is very well written and conveys so much. the beginning is excellent it lulls the reader into a false sense of security with laughing and bright then draws them into a much darker poem. Very well done Seamus
