In 2005 you came into our lives
an orphan of six weeks old running wild.
Frightened something would happen to you
I unbuttoned my shirt, lifted you up
and put you inside it to keep you warm.
I could not find out who owned you,
so we adopted you into our family.
You in turn adopted our two boys Arthur and Barny
and became a little mum to them.
You took to them as they took to you.
Sharing their food and cuddling up together
with you every evening through the years.
Five years after finding you
we found another orphan Daisy
and you took her as yours as you never had a litter.
You brought with you
laughter and love into our lives,
memories that none of us will ever forget.
Although you were not the cuddling sort
you did give love in abundance for us all.
We miss you now you are gone from us
and into the hands of our lord
who claimed Arthur a few months ago.
If cats have a heaven you are there now with Arthur in peace.
We will never forget you our sweet little girl. Rest in peace.
