In Many Countries Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

In Many Countries

In many countries

My unknown fate
But still not late
I shall learn
And tide shall be turned

No, it is curse
Real one for false
Assumption
"Girls should be without education"

"They shall rear children"
Make home real heaven
Treat guests well
But not allowed to tell

Not to save girl child alone
But to impart with education
And made to face stiff competition
That is needed in worldly existence

See her face
It reflects blank case
No doubt, she looks innocent
But appears ignorant too

"Girls and cows have same plight"
"They shall be tied with chain outright"
The old sayings still exists in many countries
The cage is set long back for slaveries

No we can't tolerate
But change it at any rate
With total involvement and awareness
The society and country should have bright face

They shall be tied with chains outright. So beautiful and revolutionary poem.kind of holy concerning about inequity. I aspire for the day, when every one shall live in peace and justice. Equal education, civil and political rights. thanks for sharing your poem.
