In Me Poem by alastair wallace

In Me

IN ME
Soon a mystery
Yet a misery
At present, a cemetery
Nine inch nails at the core of my heart
Six droplets of Christ’s blood disfigure my art
The frown of my enemies falls apart
In me, I watch success depart
A sheer transcript of loss
Bow down to the grave, she is my boss
But yet again, my soul is on the cross
Train me
Drain me
Sprain me
Until my touch disappears
I whisper at the candle stick, my only peer
‘Light up the resurrection, a strange atmosphere’
In me am lost
Find my tears, lose the cost
The gospel of my soul, I lose the most
My heart beat, my immortal…frost
My breath strangles me
Under my skin
The smiling angel, the Lucifer to be
In me
Just me always me
Forever is now the past
In my pocket, my tear of joy, my last
Wisdom to the slow is fast
But in me,
My heart dispatched
My crown I cast!
